Might be the Journey to Immortality’s End
Around August of 2008, I’ve read about this ZhuXian licensing agreement between Perfect World and E-Games then because of excitement and interest about the game, I researched and started blogging about it. The fact that ZhuXian Philippines is supposed to be the first english client of the game, it did not become easy to find informations and guides about the game so everything must be translated.
I’ve waited for the E-Games Forums to have a space for ZX topics to be opened to discuss the game w/other players. There had been some negative feedback regarding the game for it was being compared to LevelUp!’s Perfect Word which used to be the same Developer with ZX. There are some of us who are trying to prove that the game isn’t the same as Perfect World.
Being a dedicated gamer from different games, I invited some of my gaming friends to play and try ZX, fortunately some of them was encouraged to give it a try. Most of them are aware that I am spending most my time with researching even though the game haven’t released yet for closed beta test. Together with my Exitializ mates we have planned some stuffs for game promotions and some of the ZX Team are aware of that specially Ryujin (when he is still a GM that time).
November 17, 2008, for almost after 3 months of waiting, ZX Server was opened for the Advance Pass Players wherein these players were able to login on the game 2 days earlier than CBT Players. By that time, one of the game features was enjoyed by the players which is the pets or advertised as evolving pets. Unfortunately, when the game server was opened for Closed Beta Testing last Nov. 19, 2008, Pets were disabled as well as to some NPCs. As expected, some players gave some negative reactions about it, but of course we need to consider such things for we are still on the closed beta test that time. Afterwards, CBT Server was closed after 1 month and OBT was scheduled to be opened on the 28th. Supreme Destiny players were given the chance to play one day advance that time, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to login because of some server issues.
Then, the day that most ZX players have been waiting for, Dec. 28, 2008, the server for Open Beta was opened. Most of the players (including me of course), are very excited to see some new features, but everything seemed to be the same with the Closed Beta client, no pets, missing NPCs, but the existence of the item mall though. After few weeks, the ingot bug issues caused some troubles that caused a rollback. Us players, can’t do anything about it but to consider for we are still in the open beta of the game. After a month and few weeks of the open beta phase, there are couple of players reached the cap level already and is craving for a new patch already. We have been waiting for the Commercial Launch wherein we may expect for something new.
Some players used this opportunity to farm for more golds, to grind for more chivalry and to help other players to level up fast. For some of the players waiting for few weeks and even days is too long already so when the ZX Commercial Party was announced on the first week of March and to be held on the 8th of March, so many players began to be excited and craved for more updates. Then the Commercial Party approached, ZX players including us(who actually got the best attendance…lol) who attended enjoyed the ZX ingots given away in the event, the games and the freebies. But when the event was about to be finished, we felt something, “parang may kulang” and even the our guildies who haven’t made it to the event has the common question “Anu balita sa Patch?”. Some of us though that the Commercial Launch’s Patch/Implementation would be on the coming tuesday(maintenance), and on the next…and then the next, next tuesday and maintenance came but still no patch.
After few weeks, Announcements for E-Games Domination 3 were posted and as players to participate and to show our support to the game and its activities we have gathered most of our members to come. We have managed to produce a 10×4 sq.ft. tarpaulin which has something to do with the ZX’s Banner Making Contest requirements, and some merchandise for our guild booth. But then, though we enjoyed the event, we are still hide the fact that we, in-game wants something new, though the ZX Team releases these new mounts, and keeps on organizing events, but the question is, what can we do more after these events?
As I have said this in plurk, in-game shout several time, we don’t want the ZX Team to give us all we want instantly, but knowing the game and having the ZX poster it was stated on the game features, “Evolving Pets”, “Mounts”, and “Flying”, add up the City War System. Based on my experience, ZX is the only game that when you login you cannot see/access the advertised features of the game. Knowing my Clan/Guild more than 60% became inactive and some quit because of this fact.
I know, I am not the only one who believes this idea, but we wanted to feel the progress and give us enough reasons to play, we are still hoping.

Well said my friend. Hahaha… You will be considered not only as a pioneer in the ZX community, but also as a legend of the game. Many had yet to work hard in order to achieve such a goal in which you have mastered. We are very much proud of you especially me. Not only you are a hard working person but an intelligent gamer as well. If this is a plan of leaving the game, then I wish you the best of luck my friend. The game and the people in it will miss a legend and a friend. ^_^

These are the consequences of the previous actions taken by E-games in connection with the closure of some of their games especially Supreme Destiny. They did not fully and honestly disclose the reason for such closure and instead opted to LIE as if their customers/clients are dumb. Previous hardcore and spender gamers of E-games became reluctant and hesistant and adopted a wait-and-see attitude. As such, the expected influx of players as well as the expected revenues from the sale of in-game items did not materialize not to mention mismanagement and the like.
hehehe.. pinapaasa lang ng egames ang mga player.. malamang sa june pa nila ipapatch isasabay sa school marami kasi mga pera mga student nun …

Hi i’m from the Mystique clan.. we too have been waiting for the patch and I am not really happy on how e-games is handling the games. I do know it is not E-games fault because the same thing is happening to Celestial Destroyer although they had the level cap earlier this may and also to my research ZX Brazil CAP is also 5 months or so. I guess all we can really do now is wait but school is going to be first priority. The only thing I don’t like that E-Games does with the games is make us “paasa” that we will have a patch just like the commercial party and such. IF the latest hint in CM Mei Yan’s blog which says that “Good thing happens to those who wait” is NOT the level cap or is just an attempt to make us “paasa” again then I too will think about leaving ZX.

If wala pa din silang matinong update by June, babalik na lang ako Perfect World ng Level Up. I heard they’re brewing up a Major patch this year, like what PW International have now.

I totally agree with the sentiments of everyone in this thread…It is really unfortunate that the game has been stagnant for how many months. The anticipation and excitement of playing the game when it all started is slowly fading away….
I can still say that this is one of the best games i have ever played and if given enough reason to I will opt to stay….
It’s very unfortunate that along with the silence of Egames regarding the lifting of the cap and with the upcoming release of ZX US, a lot ofplayers in our clan will leave to start anew with the US version….but again like what I have said if only we are given something tolook forward to that is solid…. even with IP block…we will still find a way to play the game…
Hopefully the “GOOD” news will soon come out for the benefit of our members who already spent time and money for this game….we might not stay to experience it but knowing the devotion of some of our friends in the game…this is what i am wishing for..
