Here is an interesting video by PCGamer of the graphic settings available in the Guild Wars 2 beta client and how they affect performance. You can see in the video that they actually check out best visuals versus best performance. It also shows that many of the other popular videos from the press beta were in fact taken on lower settings.
The system specs of the computer system used to record this was described as 3.20 GHz six-core CPU, 8 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6900.Please be reminded that this was taken during the Press Beta and the performance is subject to change on the coming larger-scale betas in the coming months and of course, before the release.

Next Beta Event in Late March
According to MMORPG.com and confirmed via Twitter, ArenaNet just announced that the next beta event for Guild Wars 2 will happen in late March.
With over a million folks signing up for the Guild Wars 2 closed beta, NCSoft and Arena.Net have announced that the next closed beta event will take place at the end of March. There is no word on when invites will go out but you may want to start catching that cold for the last week of March.
Guild Wars 2’s next closed beta test is scheduled for late-March and will provide players with an opportunity to experience its deep RPG game elements, epic World v.. World battles and inviting social gameplay while helping the team load test the servers.
